Enrichment Activites

Enrichment activities are an essential part of the curriculum. These include horse-riding and horse care; farm visits; motivational trips to universities, museums, galleries and cities; inspirational speakers; and links with young people in poorer parts of the world.

These activities are designed to give the students opportunities to:-

  • explore careers in industries for which our region is renowned - arts and entertainment, football and equestrianism;
  • connect with different cultures and give them a world view;
  • widen their life experience and instill in them the confidence to operate outside their normal environments.

 

Activities include:

  • TEAM UP: Additional support for English, maths, science, psychology and vocational subjects
  • After school revision sesssions: English, maths, science
  • Sports and Fitness: Basketball / Boccia / Bowling / Football / Free-running / Horse-riding / Pool / Rounders / Table-Tennis / Trampolining / Volley-ball
  • Art / Textiles / Film and Photography
  • Beauty / Body-Art / Jewellery-making
  • Book-club and Reading-club
  • Careers
  • Chaplaincy
