Christmas Hampers

Our School Council has been very busy making up Christmas Hampers for local families in need organised by Personal Development Teachers, Denise and Shelley.

Shelley explained,

“The School Council decided that as this year has been so much more difficult than usual for many families, we wanted to offer something more than our regular food bank activities. The students have enjoyed decorating the hamper boxes and making gifts in their food and beauty sessions. As well as Christmas goodies, there are gifts for families with young children and a welcome supermarket voucher. Additionally, some families have had a particularly hard year and we thought they would love to receive a ‘hug in a hamper’.”

Students and staff have kindly donated food and gifts for the hampers. The School Council focuses on the importance of building links in the local community and provides our students with opportunities to feel valued and to value and help others which, this year is needed more than ever.

We would also like to thank Liverpool Lighthouse for donating vouchers for families and KIND Liverpool who once again has generously donated Christmas Hampers.
