Career Connect Careers Event at Harmonize Academy

Thursday 23rd January 2020

Our annual careers event organised by Career Connect was  a great opportunity for our Year 11 and 10 students to find out more about the options open to them when they leave Harmonize Academy this summer.  Local colleges, apprenticeships providers and employers from across Merseyside took part in this event. Students asked questions and found out useful information about the various progression options available to help them decide on the right choice for them.

The event was a great success with even more regular and new exhibitors attending this year to showcase and explain the diversity of training and employment options available for young people in the north west. The feedback from students and providers was very positive. Harmonize Academy has a commitment to ensuring our students receive ongoing professional advice with their post year 11 options and that every one of them moves on to education, training or employment.  Impartial Careers information, advice and guidance from Career Connect is available on a weekly basis at Harmonize Academy and provides individual guidance and advocacy to support transitions.

The representatives gave very positive feedback on the school environment as well as the students’ motivation during the event and would welcome involvement in the future.
